EKU Online students who enroll in the intelligence studies certificate program are invited to join the Intelligence Community Centers of Academic Excellence (IC CAE) Scholars Program.

The program is designed for students seeking positions in the U.S. intelligence and national security communities. Participation allows students to apply for Bluegrass State IC CAE student scholarships and grants for a number of activities, including semester abroad, study abroad, advanced and critical language instruction programs, internships, research projects and conference participation. It can also provide a competitive advantage in the job market.

To apply, students must:

  • be enrolled in the EKU undergraduate certificate in intelligence studies
  • have a minimum 2.5 EKU GPA
  • earn a minimum of eight IC CAE Scholar participation points in each 12 month period

Participation points are received for attending BGS IC CAE outreach events. Students who do not live near EKU’s Richmond, Kentucky campus can get credit for attending events at other locations where there is an intelligence and national security theme.

A full-day event receives two participation points, a one-hour to half-day event receives one participation point.
