Dustin Lewis is an adjunct faculty member at EKU. He teaches courses in hazard mitigation, disaster recovery and preparedness and response. 

Why did you pursue a career in emergency management?

Natural disasters have always fascinated me, and I enjoy studying both the science behind them and the impact they have on the human environment.

Homeland security presents a number of exciting career opportunities.  However, before you commit to a Homeland security degree program you should first understand more about this career field.  Do not just be influenced by Hollywood, through movies and television programs, as they paint a very dramatic and glamorous picture of homeland security professionals.  There is a lot more to a hom
